Rangers v St Johnstone: BBC pundit predicts scoreline, lauds Cyriel Dessers
Lee McCulloch has lauded Cyriel Dessers as he’s predicted the result of the Rangers v St Johnstone SPFL clash on Sunday, 18 December.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer, as quoted by Rangers News, the BBC pundit has predicted Gers to secure a 3-1 victory away from home.
Philippe Clement’s side are second in the league and they need to pick up a big win in order to seal top spot.
McCulloch said, praising Cyriel Dessers: “Clement’s came in and he’s rejuvenated, gave them confidence and brought the fans back to really make Ibrox a fortress again.
“Tough game on Sunday but I think they’ll have enough. St Johnstone will sit tight but Rangers have a lot of pace out wide and (Cyriel) Dessers who is flying just now, is another one who was getting a helluva lot of stick.
“He’s proved he can get in amongst the goals. His movement is really good and is the third-top goalscorer in the league so yeah, I think it will be 3-1 Rangers.”
Rangers cannot get complacent v St Johnstone
Despite St Johnstone struggling and in a relegation battle, it’s crucial for Gers not to become complacent.
Despite their favourable position in the league, they must remain focused and determined to get the job done as any slip-ups could jeopardise their quest for the top spot.
Moreover, with Celtic neck and neck with them, Rangers cannot afford to ease off.
The pressure is mounting as they aim to maintain their lead and secure the title and every match is crucial so dropping points is not an option.
Dessers, praised for his recent performances, poses a significant threat and Clement deserves utmost credit for getting the best out of him.

Hopefully, they can remain focused, continue their good run of form and capitalise on any momentum generated recently.
In other Rangers news, a recent £10m claim has emerged directly having long-term consequences Gers and the supporters will certainly be fuming with it.
