Mohamed Diomande reacts instantly on Sky Sports afrer first Rangers goal v St Johnstone
Mohamed Diomande has broken his silence after scoring his first goal for Rangers in the 3-0 victory over St Johnstone on Sunday, 18 February.
Philippe Clement put him in the playing eleven for the game alongside John Lundstram in midfield and he opened the scoring for the club with a long ranger.
Shortly after full-time, Sky Sports approached him for a post-match interview and he credited his teammates for helping him fit in.
He said on 18 February at 14:05: “I get on with my teammates I’m happy that they are helping me to settle in. It’s my first start in the Scottish league and I’m happy to take the treatment with my teammates and we look forward to that.”
Diomande off to the perfect start for Rangers
It could not get any better for Diomande as it wasn’t just any goal but a well-hit strike that he’ll be proud of.
These are goals that players practice in training and even there they do not achieve that kind of success with.
Clement will certainly be pleased with the midfielder as it was an incredible finish but also a solid performance to back it up.
In the player ratings, he rightly deserved the Man of the Match and hopefully, Gers fans can see more of the same from him in the coming weeks.
Along with Todd Cantwell, it’s hard to find another player who stood out right from the opening whistle and this seems a shrewd bit of January business.

Clement personally wanted Diomande and one can now see just what he brings to this Rangers side and he should be signed permanently in the summer.
In other Rangers news, a recent £10m claim has emerged directly having long-term consequences Gers and the supporters will certainly be fuming with it.
