Rangers news: Agenda against club continues amid fresh SFA development
The SFA appear to be showing no signs of stopping their animosity with Rangers with refs’ chief Crawford Allan’s public statements.
Gers had complained to the association to banish Wille Collum from their games after his horrific mistake in the 2-1 defeat against Celtic on 30 December.
However, Allen has now stated on 15 February that despite all the controversies surrounding Collum, he is in the frame to referee the next Old Firm game.
He said, via the Scottish Sun: “Willie will be in the frame with every other referee for consideration for games, whether they be in the league, in the Cup or whatever.
“We’ll make that decision nearer the time.”
Anti Rangers agenda is evident
Despite Rangers’ objections, the SFA chief maintains that Collum remains a candidate for such high-profile matches which is pretty baffling, to say the least.
Their refusal to let clubs have a legitimate say over referee appointments suggests a bias as Rangers were totally right to raise complaints after his howler v Celtic.
This bias is evident in the SFA’s apparent dismissal of Gers ‘ concerns and their insistence on considering Collum despite past controversies.
Referees favour Rangers?
There is a running joke among rival fans that Rangers get more penalties than other clubs but the statistics prove that not to be the case.
If anything, Celtic tend to get as many if not more penalties than their Old Firm rivals so the narrative is getting pretty old.

Hopefully, there is an adult in the room making the refereeing decisions and Collum isn’t reinstated for the game that tarnished his reputation.
In other Rangers news, a recent £10m claim has emerged directly having long-term consequences Gers and the supporters will certainly be fuming with it.
