Rangers: Philippe Clement will be happy as Adam Devine shines in Aberdeen v Motherwell chaos

Rangers manager Philippe Clement had plenty of big decisions to make in his first transfer window at the club last month.

The Belgian did strengthen his squad, with attackers Oscar Cortes, Mohammed Diomande and Fabio Silva all arriving on loan.

But there was movement in the other direction, with Adam Devine leaving for Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell, also on loan.

And the Ibrox academy graduate has been impressing at his temporary club, with the right-back boasting a goal and assist from his three matches so far.

Those goal involvements have been helped by his more advanced role, with his first goal for the club arriving in a six-goal thriller against Aberdeen on Wednesday (14 February).

The Rangers loanee slotted the ball home in the 26th minute at Pittodrie to help the visitors storm into a 3-0 lead, but tactical tweaks from Dons manager Neil Warnock saw the home side fight back to secure a 3-3 draw.

Gers manager Philippe Clement was busy instructing his own players from the sideline at Ibrox during the match at Pittodrie, with his side running out 3-1 winners against Ross County.

He will have been pleased with the huge three points against the Staggies, which has placed the Gers level at the top of the table with fierce rivals Celtic, but the boss will also be delighted at how quickly Devine has settled into life at Motherwell.

The versatile full-back has a long career ahead of him, and he looks more than capable of shining upon his return to Ibrox in the summer.
