Rangers SPFL title verdict shared by Four Lads after 3-1 win v Ross County
Four Lads Had A Dream have heaped praise on Philippe Clement for turning Rangers into genuine title contenders this season.
The Bears were seemingly out of the race at the time Michael Beale was sacked, but just a few months later the Ibrox club are now level on points and on goal difference with Celtic and sit in second place in the table only due to goals scored.
Despite the 3-1 win over Ross County on Wednesday night, the team came in for criticism due to scoring just three times from 23 shots on target but Four Lads took to their personal Twitter account (15 February) to add some balance to the argument and praise the team.
“Despite the negativity it seems on here, I can’t shake the feeling we were excellent last night,” they wrote.
“Looking at the team set up, we are well organised & look coached, everyone knows their jobs & it’s apparent. Things we complained about are vastly improved, shoot more outside box, less needless passes, more creativity, more chances, faster pace, all clear in what we are trying to do.
“We challenged them to go after the break & they’ve won 7 on the bounce scoring 18 conceding 3. We have cut a massive lead & goal difference. There is going to be mistakes, we aren’t infallible but we are doing pretty well.
“We are in a proper title race, players and management get all the credit from me for making that possible Let’s go win it.”
Rangers are a serious football team again under Philippe Clement
It has been a phenomenal rollercoaster of a season for Rangers so far, but there’s no doubt the team is far better under Clement than it was under Michael Beale.
Celtic don’t look quite as good as they did under Ange Postecoglou and there are clear holes in their game now that can be exploited, while Rangers are going from strength to strength.
The improvements have been clear for all to see and the team is getting better with every week, with the manager’s signings coming in and making an immediate impact too.
The big deal for Ibrox fans is that there is a title race to compete in at all, because a few months ago people were just expecting Celtic to waltz to another title.
It won’t be easy for either team but it feels like Blues fans just need a bit of patience and to give the team their deserved credit. Four Lads have done a good job of summing things up and providing balance to the argument here.
