Rangers: Tom Miller blown away by what ‘absolutely sensational’ Rabbi Matondo did v Ross County
Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo blew Tom Miller away with an “absolutely sensational” piece of movement as the Light Blues waltzed to a win over Ross County.
Philippe Clement’s side moved top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 win over County on Wednesday (14 February) thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers and John Souttar in front of a packed Ibrox crowd.
While Matondo didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet himself, RangersTV commentator Miller was left stunned by a piece of off-the-ball movement from the Welshman before he skewed his shot wide of George Alexander Wickens’ post.
Speaking on RangersTV on Wednesday (14 February, 20:00) he said: “The class again there in the undoing of Ross County, the movement from Rabbi Matondo is absolutely sensational.
“He wraps his foot around it and it just whistles the wrong side of the goal frame.”
‘Absolutely Sensational’ Rabbi Matondo set to fire Rangers to title
It was only a matter of weeks ago that Matondo was being linked with a loan move away from Ibrox, with teams all over Europe understood to be interested in securing the Weslhman’s services on loan for the remainder of the season.
But the winger was never particularly keen on leaving Rangers in January and that could prove to be an excellent move for all parties as the Light Blues look to beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Clement likes to use wingers and when he is fit, there are few more exciting in Scotland than Matondo who seemingly is able to beat any full-back that he faces with his rapid pace and excellent off-the-ball movement.
Hopefully, the Welsh international can continue to go from strength to strength and add a bit more consistency to his game in the final third. If he can do that, he will start week in and week out for Clement at Ibrox this season.
