Rangers: Rob Cross sends message from Ibrox ahead of Ross County showdown
Professional darts player Rob Cross has been spotted at Ibrox Stadium ahead of Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash with Ross County on Wednesday 14 February.
The Gers have the opportunity to knock Old Firm rivals Celtic off their perch at the top of the league table, with a victory against The Staggies set to take Philippe Clement’s side level on points.
Pictured at Ibrox during a tour of the famous stadium, Cross has sent a message of support for Rangers ahead of the all-important fixture.
Taking to X on Wednesday (14 February), Cross wrote: “Loving the VIP treatment at Ibrox today. Off to the game tonight with my Scottish manager, Rab cannot wait. Come on Gers.”
Rangers set for Scottish Premiership summit
Despite Kenny Millers’ comments earlier this week about Clement not wanting to look at the league table, and combatting Celtic for the title, the Rangers players will fully understand the importance of the fixture against Ross County.
The pressure could well and truly be on for Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops, who have seen the gap between themselves and the Gers close significantly since Clement arrived at Ibrox in October.
Celtic will have been laughing at the Gers during Michael Beale’s reign. It is no longer funny for them now, though, with Rangers expected to overtake them.
The pendulum has swung, and momentum is certainly on Rangers’ side now. Clement will never admit it but the idea that the Scottish Premiership title is in his side’s hands, and is entirely the Gers’ trophy to lose.
The league could well be decided by the Old Firm derby, which is why the Gers must take every opportunity to go above Celtic and create a new gap between the top two.
