Rangers: BBC pundit blown away by ‘incredible’ Cyriel Dessers moment in 3-1 win v Ross County

Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers scored an “incredible” goal to open the scoring in the victory against Ross County at Ibrox.

That is according to former Gers striker Billy Dodds, who made the comment after Dessers found the back of the net after just five minutes on Wednesday (14 February).

The summer signing added a second after Simon Murray had equalised for the visitors, with John Souttar wrapping up the 3-1 win.

“It’s incredible,” Dodds said on BBC Sportsound (7.53pm, 13 February), as quoted by BBC Sport. “The finish is brilliant. Dessers is in a fine vein of goal-scoring form. County are just caught out by a straight ball, they’re done.”

Dessers shining for Rangers

Dessers certainly took his time to get going at Ibrox, with the forward struggling to get to grips with Scottish football following his summer switch.

But as is the case with many Rangers players, Dessers has come to life under Philippe Clement, with the manager really working wonders since taking over from Michael Beale.

The forward needed just five minutes to find the back of the net against the Staggies, in what was a very well-taken goal.

His run beyond the Ross County defence was well-timed, but his lobbed finish over goalkeeper George Wickens was even better, with the Ibrox faithful blown away by the superb goal, with Dessers doubling his tally 40 minutes later.
