Rangers v Ross County team news: Philippe Clement shares Leon Balogun update at Ibrox
Philippe Clement has provided an update on the Rangers squad ahead of the Scottish Premiership showdown against Ross County at Ibrox on Wednesday, 14 February.
Rangers head into the game as the favourites, having won each of their last seven games in all competitions, with the reverse fixture ending 2-0 to the Ibrox club.
They will, however, be without Ryan Jack for the clash, as he is still in a recovery programme, and therefore unavailable for selection. Leon Balogun, meanwhile, trained with a protective mask and could play.
Clement told the press ahead of the game [via Rangers official X] on 13 February: “Leon Balogun trained with a mask, we still need to make adjustments to the mask – I have experience with this, that is normal.
“Ryan Jack will not be in the squad as he is still in his recovery programme as we rebuild him from injury.”
Rangers expect another win v Ross County
Clement’s side have put together a staggering run of form since the boss took over, losing just one league game since his arrival, and will look to keep that going when Ross County visit Ibrox on Wednesday.
The added pressure of keeping up with Celtic in the title race has not seemed to phase Rangers so far after they defeated Aberdeen in their last league fixture, with their Old Firm rivals having moved three points clear, although Gers have a game in hand.
It looks set to be a tight battle for the top spot this season, but Clement’s men must ensure they keep pace and cannot afford any slip-ups, making what should be a routine home game against County an extra bit more difficult.

Ross County currently sit second from bottom in the SPFL and have failed to score in either of their last two games. Coming to Ibrox off the back of a 5-0 drubbing against Motherwell will be far from an ideal situation for the visitors.
