Rangers: Danilo sends four-word message as injury recovery update shared at Ibrox

Rangers striker Danilo has sent a four-word social media message to fans at Ibrox as he steps up his recovery after injury.

Manager Philippe Clement has stated that it seems unlikely the Brazilian forward will return to the first team before the end of the season having suffered a serious knee injury.

Danilo was spotted all smiles at Ibrox on Saturday 10 February ahead of the Scottish Cup clash between Rangers and Ayr United as he attended a fan-zone event.

And in a latest update to Rangers fans, the Brazilian took to his Instagram account (13 February), working in the gym as he steps up his recovery.

He wrote: “New week, New goals.”

Danilo will boost Rangers quest for Scottish Premiership glory upon return

The Brazilian showed glimpses of why he was brought to Ibrox in the summer, scoring six goals before his injury and he’s certainly going to have an impact once he returns.

He has scored four league goals and provided an assist in 12 games this season and while those numbers may not be overly impressive, just five of those games were starts.

Clement has certainly done well to ensure his Rangers side copes in the Brazilian’s absence bringing in the likes of Fabio Silva, and Oscar Cortes into his squad but having Danilo back in the title run-in could be a sensational boost.

The Belgian will certainly be hoping his team are well in the title conversation before April comes around and given the transformation he’s made at Ibrox, that will almost be a certainty.

Hopefully, Danilo recovers well and Clement manages to find a way to bring the best out of him because he’ll be like another new signing at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, a former Liverpool and Everton midfielder has revealed an offer to secure a permanent move to Ibrox.
