Injury Expert shares Ryan Jack claim ahead of Rangers v Ross County clash
Rangers may decide to rest Ryan Jack against Ross County to get him out of a re-injury cycle, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert reacted to Philippe Clement’s comments ahead of the Aberdeen clash where he said it was smart not to overload the midfielder as he’s only just returning from a setback.
Jack was named in the starting eleven for Rangers as they secured a 2-0 victory over Ayr United in the Scottish Cup on Saturday, 10 February.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He’s played two games in a short spell so the risk from overload outweighs the reward of match sharpness.
“Have to find the right balance so he might be rested for the next one too after playing over the weekend.
“It all depends on where he is in terms of fitness.
“He is stuck in a vicious reinjury cycle and the club will be desperate to get him out of it.“
Sensible call from Rangers
Clement has the luxury of picking different players and the trio of John Lundstram, Tom Lawrence and Todd Cantwell could all re-enter the fray after being rested over the weekend.
The likes of Kemar Roofe, Abdallh and Danilo are set to miss this game while there is a huge possibility of Leon Balogun being absent as well.

It’s also interesting to see how the club handles the contract of Jack as he’s 31 and his deal runs out at the end of the season.
In other Rangers news, a former Liverpool and Everton midfielder has revealed an offer to secure a permanent move to Ibrox.
