Rangers perfectly placed for £17.1m kitty, Philippe Clement right one for job
Rangers are in a strong position to make it to the top of the league due to astute January signings orchestrated by Philippe Clement.
Winning the league will see them secure an impressive £17.1million fee and they do look like favourites at this point.
Currently, they have a game in hand over Celtic and are just three points adrift so a win by more than two goals will see them reclaim the top spot.
Speaking to Ibrox News, finance expert Dr Dan Plumley said: “It [Qualifying for Champions League] is huge financially, there is no question about that.
“It’s the differentiator in Scottish football, now it’s opened up a little bit more with top spot being a guaranteed group stage position and we know that based on the current distribution mechanisms in that competition, it’s worth about €20m [£17.1m] at least to Rangers or Celtic.“
Clement to guide Rangers to glory?
The acquisitions of players like Fabio Silva, Oscar Cortes, and Mohamed Diomande bolster the team’s depth and quality. These signings not only add talent but also provide crucial options to change the course of a game.
Silva brings goal-scoring prowess, Cortes offers a solid attacking option on either flank and Diomande bolsters their midfield perfectly.
Clement’s ability to identify and recruit these players demonstrates his strategic vision and understanding of the team’s needs.
With these new additions, Rangers possess a well-rounded squad capable of overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities, making them formidable contenders for the league summit.

The Belgian is the ideal man to bring back the glory days to Ibrox and roll back the years to be an even more successful manager than Steven Gerrard.
