Kris Boyd makes confession to Celtic fans as Rangers title prediction made
Kris Boyd has confessed to Celtic fans that he “called it wrong” about Brendan Rodgers being an “upgrade” on Ange Postecoglou as he made a Rangers title prediction.
Writing on The Scottish Sun website on Friday (9 February), the pundit said he was expecting the Hoops boss to take the Parkhead club “by storm again”, returning to the form of the 2016/17 version of his side, but that the “woeful” display in their 2-1 victory over Hibernian on Wednesday (7 February) showed he is a “very different boss”.
He added that the SPL title “remains in the balance” as he placed the Gers as slight favourites in the race despite noting that you can “never write off Celtic” as the Old Firm rivals look to battle it out for Scottish football’s biggest honour.
Rangers are on the heels of Celtic in the title race
It’s sure to be a thrilling few months ahead as Rangers and Celtic are both neck and neck in the title race, something you would never have predicted just a few months ago.
It appears as though Rodgers isn’t the same manager he was five or six years ago when his Hoops side were unstoppable, but he has plenty of experience and will back himself to get it right.
The Northern Irishman is up against a Gers side that are flying at the moment, though, having put together a superb run since Philippe Clement arrived at Ibrox.

The only blip on the Belgian’s record was the defeat in the Old Firm derby on 30 December, which will give the Celtic fans hope that they can come out on top again this year.
But the title race looks set to go right down to the wire unless one of them slips up dramatically over the next few months, with the Light Blues boss keen to ensure it won’t be his side.
