Rangers injury news: Doctor shares Ben Davies verdict ahead of Ayr United clash
Rangers defender Ben Davies is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes in the game against Ayr United, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury setback has reacted to his questionable absence with no specifics over the reason for his being ruled out the past few weeks.
However, ahead of the game on Saturday, 10 February, Clement confirmed on Friday that the 28-year-old is back in contention.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“The reason for not disclosing the specifics of injury can be a variety of things.
“It could be the team trying not to give too much away, it could be coming from the player, and so on.
“He’s now back in contention, so he should be participating in full first-team training but may not be ready for the full 90 minutes.
“He could start and play an hour before being taken off in the second half.“
Injury boost for Rangers
Clement was already two centre-backs short with Leon Balogun also ruled out of this one so he will be glad to have Davies back.
The former Liverpool defender may very well come in for Connor Goldson who has been everpresent in defence for Gers this term.

Clement will be looking to win this tournament as well and secure at least a double and Simon Jordan has tipped him to achieve good things at Ibrox
In other Rangers news, a former Liverpool and Everton midfielder has revealed an offer to secure a permanent move to Ibrox.
