Todd Cantwell sends two-word message to Fabio Silva after Rangers 2-1 win v Aberdeen
Todd Cantwell has sent a two-word message to his Ibrox teammate Fabio Silva after Rangers defeated Aberdeen 2-1.
The Glasgow outfit picked up all three points in the Scottish Premiership encounter at Ibrox on Tuesday (6 February).
Rabbi Matondo and Cantwell scored for the home side, who also had substitute Dujon Sterling sent off, while Bojan Miovski netted for the visitors.
Star midfielder Cantwell took to social media to celebrate the win, sharing an image of him and Silva on Instagram with the message: “Let’s go.”
Rangers grind out win
Rangers manager Philippe Clement will be delighted with the victory, which showed that his players really are up for the fight this season.
Matondo gave the hosts a dream start with his seventh-minute opener, only for Miovski to level the tie just before the break.
That goal would have completely changed Clement’s half-time team talk, with the manager needing to inspire his players for a huge second half.
And that was certainly the case, with Cantwell settling the match in the 72nd minute, although the hosts did endure a nervy finish due to Sterling’s late red card.
The win means the Ibrox club are now level on 58 points with fierce rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, with the latter ahead only on goal difference.

But in great news for Clement and his players, they will still have a game in hand over the Bhoys after they take on Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday (7 February).
