Simon Jordan drops Rangers verdict, admission made on Celtic and Brendan Rodgers
Simon Jordan has weighed in on Rangers and Celtic’s title race and also whether or not Brendan Rodgers matches up to Philippe Clement.
While he has been blown away by the Gers manager, he has been highly underwhelmed by the Celtic boss.
However, despite this, he backs the Hoops to go on and retain their title despite Gers strengthening in January and in good form currently.
He said on talkSPORT, as quoted by the Daily Record: “We saw with Michael Beale, we had a year of it and he wasn’t capable of it. Not at this stage in his career. This other guy [Clement], who hasn’t had much difference in terms of personnel, has now turned the proverbial water into a little bit of wine. That’s proper management.”
“I don’t think Brendan Rodgers is at it. I think he’s an imitation of himself. I think the balance of probability still errs on the side of Celtic, but they’re in a battle now.”
Rangers need to capitalise on Celtic and Rodgers’ inconsistency
Jordan’s assessment of the title race and the comparison between Clement and Rodgers overlooks crucial factors.
While Jordan praises the Belgian’s managerial impact at Ibrox, he criticises Rodgers’ performance at Celtic Park.
However, despite Rodgers’ longer tenure at Celtic, Gers have shown more consistency and dominance this season under Clement.
The notion that Celtic are still favourites to retain the title contradicts the current league standings and form, where the Ibrox outfit are performing better.
For Rangers to capitalise on Celtic’s inconsistency and secure the title, they need to maintain their current momentum and continue working hard behind the scenes.
Additionally, effective squad rotation and tactical adaptability can ensure sustained success throughout the season.
Gers must also focus on maintaining a strong defensive record while being clinical in front of goal.

Before Celtic’s recent game, both teams were tied on points and it was only Goal Difference separating them which is undoubtedly a good position for Clement.
