Fabio Silva sends message to Todd Cantwell after Rangers 3-0 win v Livingston
Fabio Silva has sent a message to Todd Cantwell after the latter scored for Rangers in their victory against Livingston.
The former Norwich City star netted his club’s third and final goal as the Gers clinched a 3-0 win on Saturday (3 February).
Wolves loanee Silva was also on the scoresheet in the Scottish Premiership match at Ibrox, with Rabbi Matondo on target as well.
Silva, who netted his first goal for the club in the win, was among the people sending messages to Cantwell after he shared images of his goal and celebrations on Instagram.
Rangers cruise to Ibrox win
Even with the struggles of rock-bottom Livingston this season, Rangers manager Philippe Clement will have strongly advised his players not to be complacent.
With the clash taking place at Ibrox and the visitors desperate for points, an upset was on the cards, but the hosts ensured no such win took place.
It may have taken the home side a while to get going, much to the frustration of the home supporters, but Silva was on hand to get supporters off their seats with his 40th-minute opener.
Matondo then gave the Gers a 2-0 lead going into the break, with Cantwell wrapping up all three points early in the second half.
The man in the dugout will be overjoyed with the display, with that win taking place shortly after Celtic dropped points in a 1-1 draw at Aberdeen.

Clement will definitely be focusing on his own club, but the manager will also have one eye on their fierce rivals, particularly after this latest slip-up.
In other Rangers news, a report has shared what Ibrox chiefs privately say about Jack Butland after a transfer approach for the goalkeeper.
