Kilmarnock and Motherwell want to sign Rangers defender Adam Devine with another Ibrox exit on the cards

Kilmarnock and Motherwell want to sign Rangers defender Adam Devine on loan with another Ibrox exit on the cards, according to Glasgow Times.

The newspaper reported on its website on 1 February that Gers may allow him to leave on deadline day given the competition for places at Ibrox.

Gers have already parted ways with Sam Lammers on loan this month and Devine is likely to be on his way as well.

Makes sense

The 20-year-old right-back has made eight senior appearances for the Ibrox outfit, including one against Morton this season, spending nine minutes on the field of play.

Devine is in need of regular playing time to continue his development and gain valuable experience but with established players ahead of him in the pecking order at Ibrox, opportunities for first-team action are limited.

For Kilmarnock and Motherwell, both clubs in need of defensive reinforcements due to injuries and suspensions, Devine presents an opportunity to bolster their squads with a young, talented player.

A loan move allows the full-back to gain valuable playing time in a competitive environment while providing Kilmarnock and Motherwell with cover in positions where they are currently short-staffed.

This deal would benefit all parties involved, allowing Devine to continue his development while helping his potential loan clubs address immediate needs in their squads.
