Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil react live on talkSPORT to brand new Rangers announcement
Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist could not contain their laughter live on talkSPORT after it was shared that Rangers had announced their official partnership with cereal brand Kellogg’s.
The new sponsorship was announced via Rangers’ official website on 29 January, much to the disappointment of Brazil who claimed he was now finished eating Frosties following the agreement.
McCoist was cracking up at the idea that Brazil had been devastated by the new announcement, with his Celtic allegiance strong enough to put him off the cereal brand for good.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [31 January, 08:21] Brazil reported: “Rangers have announced a new partnership with Kellogg’s. I don’t believe it. One of the UK’s most popular – well they used to be popular anyway – cereal brands have become the club’s official partner.
“The company is behind household favourites like Corn Flakes, Rice Crispies and Coco Pops. That’s me, I’m finished with Frosties.”
McCoist, having spent a minute cracking up in the background, chipped in with: “That is brilliant! You are going to be devastated. That has devastated you.”
January deals at Ibrox
When Fabio Silva arrived at Rangers ahead of the January transfer window opening, a busy month was expected, and following the arrival of Mohamed Diomande, who would have expected that the next new deal through the door at Ibrox would be Tony the Tiger and his Kellogg’s pals.
Brazil’s reaction and McCoist’s constant laughter, along with the suggestion that the former Celtic man would never touch a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal again after the announcement make the sponsorship worth it already.
Now, though, the focus can turn back to the transfer window with less than 48 hours remaining and a busy end to the window expected both in terms of incomings and outgoings from Ibrox.

With speculation rife about possible incoming transfer deals at Ibrox, with the deadline rapidly approaching on 1 February, officials behind the scenes at Ibrox will be keen on a strong finish, with player announcements hopeful next on the agenda.
