Rangers reject transfer bid from Nottingham Forest for Jack Butland
Rangers have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Jack Butland and stated he is not for sale, according to STV News.
Writing on their website (30 January), the news outlet report that the Premier League club have made a bid for the goalkeeper who joined in the summer on a free transfer.
But Rangers rejected the offer and issued a “hands off warning”, declaring that they won’t entertain any offers for their number one before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
“Rangers have turned down an approach from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Jack Butland, STV News understands, with the club issuing a hands off warning,” they wrote.
“It’s understood Rangers will not entertain any offers for Butland who spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United.”
No Way
Unless they’re offering £30m plus then there is absolutely no way on Earth that Rangers should consider selling Super Jack.
Butland is without a doubt the best signing that Michael Beale made during his tenure and he has stepped into the gloves of Allan McGregor with absolute ease, and is easily the best goalkeeper in the country at this point.

He has been an ever-present in the SPFL this season and been man of the match in countless games, including in the Europa League and has been a huge part of the successes the team have had.
It would be nigh on impossible to replace him at this stage of a transfer window in mid-season, but also even in the summer you’d be hard-pressed to find a goalkeeper as good as him for the money Rangers usually spend on a player.
If he’s going to leave it would have to be with plenty of time to replace him, and with plenty of money where they can go and get a top-level replacement. But in January? No chance. He must stay.
