Rangers news as Doctor issues Oscar Cortes medical verdict as transfer update emerges

Lens winger Oscar Cortes is expected to pass his Rangers medical despite a knee issue earlier this season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has detailed his thigh issue back in November which bothered him and kept him out of action for a few games.
Add to that, he’s also not had enough game time for the first team, playing just 40 minutes over four league appearances. [WhoScored]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He was suffering a nagging thigh injury in November and that kept him out of action for a few games.
“There’s also the issue about him not playing enough senior games, which is a valid concern, but nothing alarming.
“It’s likely not a cause of worry and nothing suggests that Rangers will have any issues which would put breaks on the transfer.
“It’s just a young player building back fitness after a muscle injury which has resulted in limited minutes.
“Wouldn’t expect any issues in the medical either.”
W Radio Colombia Pipe Sierra journalist reported via Twitter on 29 January that the 20-year-old is set to move to Ibrox on loan until the end of the season, subject to a medical.
Cortes may have just broken onto the scene this season, but in the 40 minutes of game time, he’s already bagged a goal and an assist.
He will be the third signing this month at Ibrox, with Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande walking through the door as well.
