Ridvan Yilmaz surely set for Rangers exit after Fabrizio Romano transfer update
Rangers have improved massively under Philippe Clement, with the Belgian doing a superb job since taking over from Michael Beale.
It really is light and day, with the Gers having already lifted the League Cup under their current boss, as well as progressing in the Europa League and Scottish Cup.
Most importantly, they have closed the gap on fierce rivals and league leaders Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table.
But Clement clearly isn’t fully satisfied with his current group of players, with Fabrizio Romano reporting on X on Friday (26 January) that the Gers have reached an agreement with Fluminense to sign left-back Jefte.
A deal is in place for the defender to come to Ibrox on a contract until June 2027, with Rangers waiting for APOEL to give the green light given that the player is currently there on loan.
His impending arrival at Ibrox will surely see movement in the other direction, with left-back Ridvan Yilmaz now almost certain to leave the club this month.
There has been plenty of talk regarding a potential exit for the defender, with Turkish newspaper Fotomac reporting on its website on Friday that Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has held a direct phone call with the Ibrox star about making a loan switch to the Super Lig club.
Yilmaz has shone in Borna Barisic’s absence in recent times, even scoring the opener in the 3-0 win against Hibernian on Wednesday (24 January).

Despite that, the 22-year-old is seemingly on his way out, but whether he would move on loan or permanently remains to be seen.
