Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin fit for Rangers v St Mirren, 4 players ruled out
Rangers have been handed a significant injury boost ahead of their clash with St Mirren but will still be without at least four stars, Philippe Clement has confirmed.
Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin were both forced off at half-time in the midweek win over Hibernian but are available and fit to play this weekend.
Kieran Dowell, Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe and Danilo are all still out injured and unavailable however, while new signing Mohamed Diomande awaits his work permit before he can come over to Glasgow with his new teammates.
Brilliant
This is a fantastic opportunity for Rangers to really start building towards a strong title charge, and Clement knows what he has at his disposal.
The injury list is barely getting any shorter, and Mohamed Diomande is unavailable as he awaits a work permit, but the squad is still more than strong enough to get a win in this game.
Connor Goldson being back from suspension is certainly a bonus, while Cyriel Dessers’ goal in midweek will give him confidence and gives the manager a headache when selecting his strike force for the game.
It’s also a positive that Cantwell and Raskin are fit and available after knocks in midweek saw them replaced at half-time, so Clement will have no excuses when it comes to getting the result.
Hopefully the team can start to welcome more players back from injury in the near future too and the starting lineup can become a little bit less predictable, with more competition which can only be a positive thing.
