Heart and Hand react to Rangers transfer news amid Jefte update

Heart and Hand have shared their reaction as Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on Rangers potentially signing left-back Jefte.

The journalist claimed on 26 January that Gers had reached an agreement with Fluminese to sign the 20-year-old.

Gers only announced Mohamed Diamonde’s signing a few hours before Romano’s update and Heart and Hand were excited at the prospect of another signing.

They wrote on Twitter: “Another one in by the looks of it!”

Good business

Rangers’ strategic and relatively quiet approach in the transfer market has proven effective, culminating in an agreement for Jefte.

This prudent method ensures that each signing aligns with the club’s long-term vision and his acquisition adds depth to the squad, providing competition for the first-choice left-back Borna Barisic.

Consequently, it suggests that Ridvan Yilmaz is likely to depart, seeking more playing time elsewhere.

With two quality options in Jefte and Barisic, Rangers can afford to let Yilmaz leave without compromising squad strength.

The timing of this deal, following closely after the signing of Diomande, demonstrates Rangers’ efficiency in securing targeted players.

This ensures minimal disruption to the squad while strategically addressing positional needs.

That said, another attacking player is imperative and Gers need to move quickly in order to secure his services in the coming days.

In other Rangers news, clubs have now made contact with Gers as another first-team player appears set to be leaving the club soon.
