Scott Wright sends ‘let’s go’ message to Ridvan Yilmaz after what happened in Rangers win v Hibernian

Scott Wright has sent a three-word message to his Rangers teammate Rivdan Yilmaz after his goal against Hibernian.

The left-back scored the opening goal as the Gers defeated Nick Montgomery’s side 3-0 at Easter Road on Wednesday (24 January).

Yilmaz played the entire 90 minutes of the Scottish Premiership clash, with Wright coming off the bench in the 70th minute.

Taking to social media after the win, Yilmaz posted on Instagram: “Another 3 points, another win with a perfect team performance. So proud and feels so good to be here.”

His Rangers teammate Wright reposted the post on his own story, writing the message “Let’s go bro!!” to the left-back.

Staying put?

Both Wright and Yilmaz have been linked with Ibrox exits in recent times, but both remain key men for Philippe Clement at this moment in time.

According to Sky Sports reporter Mark Benstead (3 January), Wright could exit Ibrox this month, while Yagız Sabuncuoglu reported on X on Wednesday that the Gers are still holding discussions over the possible sale of Yilmaz.

It does seem strange that the players would be allowed to leave in the January transfer window, with Clement hardly likely to want any major changes to his squad at this crucial stage of the season.

The Gers are going well in all competitions, and any small revamp to the team could have a major say in how the season goes from here on in.

Rangers

The routine win over Hibs has helped close the gap on Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table, while the Ibrox club also have Scottish Cup and Europan commitments to focus on.

In other Rangers news, one exit-linked Gers man is surely set for an Ibrox stay after what happened with Clement recently.
