Doctor issues medical claim as Mohamed Diamonde-Rangers transfer news emerges

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers.

Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohamed Diamonde will likely pass his medical at Rangers despite a long-term injury he sustained back in 2020, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he was out with something called a bone edema – which refers to the swelling of the bone.

It is understood to be troublesome if not handled carefully, but the 22-year-old appears to have overcome that issue.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“He missed over 100 days back in 2020 with a bone edema.

A bone edema refers to swelling of the bone.

This most often refers to a bone bruise’ and can be quite troublesome when they don’t resolve well.

That being said, he seems to have gotten over the issue so unless there’s something very unexpected, he would most likely pass a medical.

The Scottish Sun reported on 23 January that Gers will pay a fee in the region of £4.5million to secure the services of the Ivorian midfielder.

He was suffering from malaria and will soon complete his move to Ibrox as he’s recovered from it.

The adverse weather conditions in the United Kingdom had delayed his arrival, but he’s expected to officially join this week.

In other Rangers news, clubs have now made contact with Gers as another first-team player appears set to be leaving the club soon.
