Rangers transfer update: Ridvan Yilmaz rejects Euro club offer for Ibrox exit
Ridvan Yilmaz has turned down an offer to leave Rangers for Hellas Verona during the January transfer window, according to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
The Sports Digitale journalist reported via Twitter on 24 January that the Light Blues defender has rejected the Serie A side.
At one point this month the Turkish international was believed to be close to a move to Italy, but Istanbul giants Galatasaray have since come to the fore in the pursuit of him.
Philippe Clement has been starting the 22-year-old throughout the recent speculation over a possible exit, but has admitted that while the window is open a player could play one day and leave the next.

It had seemed possible early in the window that Rangers and Verona might be set to swap left-backs with Josh Doig heading to Ibrox while Yilmaz went the other way.
But it now appears that neither part of that arrangement will be happening, with the Scot having already left for fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.
As a former Besiktas player it would be a big decision to make for Yilmaz to head back to the Turkish Super Lig at one of their main rivals, and whether he is willing to do so or not a suitable offer will still need to be made to the club to convince the Gers to let him go.
And with Borna Barisic also tipped to be leaving the club sooner rather than later it seems impossible for Clement to sanction a sale for the younger of the two full-backs without signing a replacement this month.
A major development in the transfer market has arrived this week in the form of a big-money deal for Mohamed Diomande closing in, just when it looked like the window might fizzle out.
With a week left before the deadline there is still potential for more activity, with further additions looking necessary, and Yilmaz’s future not yet settled, although it seems one destination is now off the table.
