Fierce negotiations on as update emerges on Ridvan Yilmaz Rangers exit
Rangers and Galatasaray are understood to be locked in fierce negotiations over the transfer of Ridvan Yilmaz, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish media outlet claimed on 24 January that talks have reached their final stages with Galatasaray looking for a loan with an option to buy.
It’s understood that he will arrive at Galatasaray with a guaranteed contract clause to play as the club are eyeing a deal before the transfer deadline.
Move soon
This appears to be a classic case of ‘Who blinks first?’ as Rangers look to recoup the money they spent to bring him to Ibrox.
Back in 2022, he was signed as potentially a first-team regular but has failed to usurp Borna Barisic in the strongest XI.
The Croatian himself appears to be on his way out at the end of the season, but regardless of his future, Yilmaz looks like he’s leaving this month.
Whatever happens with him, it should happen quicker as Rangers are running out of time to secure his replacement.

Their pursuits of different left-backs this summer have fallen by the wayside and it’s now a week to go before the transfer deadline.
Hopefully, they are working on deals behind the scenes like they did with Mohamed Diamonde because it’s imperative to bring in a new left-back this month.
In other Rangers news, clubs have now made contact with Gers as another first-team player appears set to be leaving the club soon.
