Sky Sports: Sources share how close Rangers are to completing Mohamed Diomande transfer at Ibrox
Rangers are closing in on the signing of Mohamed Diomande from FC Nordsjaelland, according to Sky Sports.
The news outlet reported on its live transfer tracker on Tuesday (23 January, 02:41pm) that a source has revealed that the Gers are in the “advanced stages of negotiations” over the 22-year-old.
The Ivorian midfielder has made 111 appearances for the Danish side over the past few years, having registered 13 goals along the way.
Getting there
It looks as though Rangers are extremely close to securing a deal to make Diomande their second signing of the January transfer window.
There has been plenty of work going on behind the scenes to try and get some new faces through the door to improve Philippe Clement’s squad.
While they have made great strides since the Belgian arrived at Ibrox back in October, he is fully aware that his side needs more quality – and depth – if they are to compete for more trophies this season.

The Ivorian should add some extra youthfulness to the Gers midfield as they are slightly short of options in the middle of the park, with injuries taking their toll over the course of this campaign.
The midfielder has made 21 appearances in Denmark this season, having registered five assists in all competitions for his side.
In other Rangers news, a manager who wants to sign one Gers star this month has made a transfer admission.
