BBC journalist Tom English slams Rangers and Celtic after Scottish Cup games
Tom English has slammed Rangers and Celtic for not using young homegrown Scottish players despite playing lower league sides in the Scottish Cup.
Gers took on Dumbarton on Saturday while the Hoops played Buckie Thistle and both sides did not face too many struggles in order to secure their pathway into the next round.
English saw these clashes as a chance for Philippe Clement and Brendan Rodgers to give some of the younger players a go, which they did not.
He wrote on Twitter: “No young homegrown players starting for Celtic at home to Buckie Thistle. Celtic/Rangers are in a fantastic position to do it.”
