Agent reveals ‘exciting’ Abdallah Sima stance on permanent Rangers transfer

Bathie Toure, the agent of Rangers star Abdallah Sima, has revealed that the attacker wants to remain at Ibrox beyond his loan deal from Brighton after a flying start to his career in Glasgow.

Toure went on to explain that Sima is happy playing every week for Rangers, and has enjoyed the atmosphere at the club since arriving from Brighton in the summer transfer window.

He finished by saying we will see what happens with regard to a permanent deal when that time comes, but it sounds hugely encouraging from the agent.

Speaking to the media, reported via The Rangers Review [22 January], Toure shared: “Abdallah Sima is good at Rangers and wants to continue there. He likes the atmosphere at the club and wants to continue to evolve as a player.

“Abdallah is currently the most exciting young Senegalese player. He is a hard worker and has been looked after well in his career.

“At the moment, he is happy because he is playing every week at Rangers. He feels comfortable there and it is definitely his wish to stay. We will see what happens at the end of his loan.”

This must be a priority

While there will be separate priorities in the January transfer window, with this one to take place at the end of the season, it must be at the top of Rangers’ aims off the field as we head into the second half of the season.

Sima has been one of the outstanding performers at Ibrox so far this season, and the club’s top goalscorer so far. He stood out while others struggled having arrived under Michael Beale, and has translated his game perfectly to fit Philippe Clement’s style since his arrival.

Rangers

A player of his quality and talent should always be a priority, and the news that he would like to remain in Glasgow following his loan deal will be music to the ears of the fans, so the board must make sure they capitalise on his desire.

This news emerged after Sima picked up an injury while on international duty with Senegal, with reports suggesting he could miss a long period in his recovery from the issue.
