Rangers transfer news: Problem arises despite Galatasaray agreement to sign Ridvan Yilmaz

There is a problem in Galatasaray’s deal to sign Ridvan Yilmaz despite reaching an agreement with Rangers, according to Kadir Cetincali.

The broadcaster for Turkish channel Ajans 1905, who has amassed over 100k followers on Twitter, claims that Gers are looking for a transfer fee and will not allow a loan exit.

The delay in completing the deal has been due to Rangers’ failure to sign a replacement left-back for Yilmaz.

Via Twitter, Cetincali wrote: “Rangers are insistent on selling Rıdvan Yılmaz for a transfer fee.

“Galatasaray reached an agreement with Rıdvan Yılmaz, it has been the same situation since last week. However, Rangers’ inability to transfer the name they were considering for left-back causes them to resist the conditions. There is a problem in the transfer.”

Too slow

Rangers must expedite their efforts to secure a new left-back, given the impending departure of Yilmaz and the complications in finalising his move to Galatasaray.

The delay in completing the Turk’s transfer is rightly attributed to Gers’ failure to secure a replacement left-back swiftly.

To avoid squad imbalances and defensive vulnerabilities, Rangers need to act promptly in identifying and signing a capable left-back.

The departure of a player like Yilmaz could leave a void in the squad and with Galatasaray already reaching an agreement, time is of the essence.

A proactive approach to securing a replacement ensures continuity and stability in the team, especially considering the challenges posed by the ongoing transfer negotiations.

There have been other left-backs linked with a move to Ibrox and most of them have failed to materialise into anything serious so it’s time that these things change.

In other Rangers news, a £4.8million bid update has emerged as development occurs in Gers’ quest to seal a January signing.
