Ridvan Yilmaz informs Rangers he wants to quit Ibrox as continuous talks held behind the scenes after offer
Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz has informed the club he wants to leave Ibrox in the January transfer window, according to Milliyet.
The Turkish publication reported on its website on Friday (19 January) that the left-back is holding continuous talks with the Gers about an exit.
Milliyet added that Turkish club Galatasaray have offered to take the 22-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.

“Let me go, Galatasaray wants me,” said Yilmaz, as per Milliyet. “Let me go there and play all the time, let me be selected for the national team.”
Ibrox exit?
There has been plenty of speculation regarding the left-back and his future in Glasgow. The defender hasn’t exactly been starved of playing time under Philippe Clement, with Yilmaz having made 14 appearances in all competitions this season.

He has been a regular at left-back lately, although fellow left-back Borna Barisic seemingly remains the number one option in this area.
The latter is, however, also potentially leaving Ibrox in the near future given how his contract will expire at the end of the season.
That could pave the way to a regular first team place for Yilmaz, but perhaps the Turkish defender does not want to wait that long for guaranteed playing time.
The youngster has an international career to worry about, with Turkey having secured a spot at Euro 2024 this summer.
Yilmaz, who has six national team caps, now has a big decision to make, although it seems likely that Rangers will also have a major say in any deal for the player this month.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have made an approach for a new striker, with the player now ready to perform.
