Dinamo Zagreb submits offer as they seek deal for Rangers star Borna Barisic and ex-Ibrox ace Ryan Kent

Dinamo Zagreb want to sign Rangers star Borna Barisic and his former teammate Ryan Kent, according to Football Scotland.

The publication reported on its website on Wednesday (17 January) that Kent already has an offer on the table for a January loan move.

Football Scotland added that Dinamo Zagreb want to sign the Fenerbahce man this month, but would wait until the summer to try and land Barisic.

“Ryan Kent has an offer on the table for a January loan switch to Dinamo Zagreb,” according to Football Scotland. “He has been told he can leave the club on loan this month and Football Scotland understands Dinamo have made their case to the Englishman and are now waiting to learn of his decision with other clubs believed to be keen.

“It’s not the only bit of business Dinamo could be involved with when it comes to Scottish football this month with Borna Barisic also an option albeit they have expressed a desire to make that happen in June as opposed to this month where he’d cost a fee.”

Busy

Dinamo Zagreb are clearly keen to bolster their attacking options as soon as possible with a move for Kent, who left Ibrox last summer upon the expiry of his contract.

The former Gers winger has not had the best of times since leaving Ibrox, having scored just one goal from his 15 appearances in all competitions.

Still, he could be offered a way out of Turkey this month, with Barisic then set to be chased in the next transfer window.

It remains to be seen what Rangers have in store for their left-back, whose deal at Ibrox will expire at the end of the season.

The Gers would be foolish to lose such an important player on a free, as was the case with Kent, but it seems that they are going this way with Barisic.

The full-back has been key at both ends of the pitch this season, and has registered five assists from his 23 matches in all competitions.
