Doctor issues injury update on Rangers midfielder John Lundstram
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Rangers.
Rangers midfielder John Lundstram will continue to be monitored by the medical staff after his ankle injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Englishman could already be at a 100 per cent now as he returned to action before the international break too.
Ahead of the Celtic clash on December 30, he appeared to be a late fitness doubt but he ended up starting that game.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He will continue to be monitored after his ankle injury as he needs multiple games to get back to 100 per cent match fitness.
“The winter break period will be used to monitor his fitness and he’ll perhaps be asked to take it easier than some players until he reaches pre-injury levels of fitness.
“Not a major worry and he could even be at a 100 per cent now.“

The 29-year-old started both league games before the winter break against Celtic and Kilmarnock.
He has been a first-team regular this season for Rangers whenever he’s been fit, making 18 SPFL appearances under Michael Beale, Steven Davis and Philippe Clement combined.
However, he’s yet to find the back of the net or provide an assist and while it’s not his job, he’ll certainly be looking to do that in the second half of the campaign.
In other Rangers news, a first-team player may be forced into an early retirement like Eden Hazard after what happened recently, claims a doctor.
