Gary Keown mocks Kemar Roofe after what happened to Rangers star
Injured Rangers star Kemar Roofe, who has missed his club’s last three league games, has been mocked by Daily Mail journalist Gary Keown.
The striker has been limited to just 15 appearances in all competitions this season, with his time on the pitch amounting to just over 500 minutes.
The 31-year-old, who joined the Gers from Belgian side Anderlecht in 2020, has scored 38 goals from his 93 appearances for the club.

Discussing some of the striking options at Ibrox, Keown wrote for The Scottish Mail on Sunday (14 Jan, page 109): “Danilo, hardly a roaring success, is injured.
“Kemar Roofe is about as resilient as the sugar-spun dome over an egg pudding. Cyriel Dessers is Cyriel Dessers.”

Harsh
The injuries to Roofe have hardly been the player’s fault, with the striker doing his utmost for the club when available.
The experienced striker has proven time and again that he knows where the back of the net is, but unfortunately his chances under Philippe Clement and his predecessor Michael Beale have been limited due to various issues.
Hope remains that the 31-year-old can recover and play an important role under the Belgian for the remainder of the season.
After that, however, the striker is likely to be moved on in the summer, with his contract at Ibrox expiring at the end of the current campaign.
Given his age and more importantly his injury issues, it would be very surprising to see Roofe stay at Ibrox for another season.
Clement certainly needs firepower if he is to be a success in Scotland, but the man in the dugout is very likely to look beyond Roofe, certainly in the summer transfer window, if not the current one.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been ordered to pay compensation as a legal battle involving the club concludes.
