Rangers transfer news: Chris Jack shares update on Borna Barisic future amid LaLiga interest
Chris Jack does not expect Borna Barisic to exit Rangers in the January transfer window, despite strong suggestions the full-back is on his way out.
The Croatia international is due to be out of contract at Ibrox at the end of the campaign and there has been no indication that he will pen fresh terms.
Football Scotland reported last Friday (5 January) that LaLiga clubs have showed an interest in Barisic, while Dinamo Zagreb are one of many other teams to have been linked.

However, Jack told The Rangers Review podcast [12 January] that he does not see the defender departing Ibrox prior to the end of the campaign.
“We’re not expecting Barisic to move on this month – that’ll be more towards the end of the season,” he said.
Double exit possible
If Rangers can land any sort of fee for Barisic, it surely makes sense to cash in now and start looking for a new left-back before next season.
However, the spanner in the works is that fellow left-back Ridvan Yilmaz is also supposedly wanted by teams on the continent.
The danger in all this is that Rangers let Ridvan leave this month and then Barisic moves on in the summer when his contract concludes.
That will leave Philippe Clement needing two new players in that area, and finding those is easier said than done.
Barisic has been a good servant for the Gers in recent times, but his Ibrox career is coming to a natural conclusion.
If the reports over the past fortnight are anything to go by, he certainly will not struggle in terms of finding a new club in the summer.
For now, Clement will continue getting the most out of him before a formal decision is made on his future.
