Philippe Clement wants Rangers double signing with two Ibrox exits now on the cards – Sky Sports News

Sam Lammers and Ridvan Yilmaz could both be on their way out of Rangers this month, with Philippe Clement wanting replacements, according to Sky Sports News.

The broadcaster reported via their Transfer Centre on Tuesday night (9 January, 08:25pm) that Lammers, 26, is expected to leave Ibrox to join FC Utrecht on loan. It is understood that there won’t be a fixed fee tied into the deal so it becomes permanent in the summer.

Sky Sports also adds that Sky Italy are reporting Yilmaz, 22, could leave as well with Hellas Verona keen on taking the Turkish left-back to Serie A.

As a result, it is claimed that Gers manager Clement wants to strengthen both the left-back and forward areas as a result of the potential double exit.

Double deal

Getting rid of Lammers makes sense.

Even if a replacement cannot be signed, it’s best for Rangers to just get the hapless Dutch forward off their books as it’s best to play with 10 men in most games he’s in just to save Clement some time when submitting his starting line-up.

He’s been an awful signing so it’s good to see he’s on his way out – thanks, Michael Beale.

As for Yilmaz, he just really hasn’t development at Ibrox in the way we’d have hoped.

The young lad has had injury issues and has seen numerous managers opt to run Borna Barisic into the ground at left-back instead of giving him a chance.

For his sake, it’s also best that he moves on permanently.

As for replacements, we don’t know who they could be but Josh Doig would be a nice one to bring in at left-back and, of course, Lawrence Shankland would be a stunning addition in the forward area.

In other Rangers news, the Gers have been urged to sign this ice-cold finisher for up to £5million.
