John Bennett and Nils Koppen surely left fuming at Rangers as Malik Tillman transfer update emerges amid £1.4m Bayern Munich development
Rangers may have been dealt a financial cash boost blow after a Malik Tillman update emerged at Bayern Munich that will leave John Bennett and new transfer chief Nils Koppen fuming.
Scottish news outlet Daily Record shared (8 January) that Bayern Munich could be set to pull the plug on Tillman’s permanent move to PSV delaying chances of the Light Blues securing a transfer windfall.
Rangers now face a delay in their chances to seal a £1.4m windfall with Bayern Munich aiming to pull the plug on Tilman’s permanent move to the Dutch giants.

Tillman spent last season on loan at Ibrox, but the club agreed to forfeit their option to buy in favour of a £1million payment from Bayern Munich to allow him to move to PSV.
Also included in that deal was a 10 per cent sell-on fee for Rangers if Tillman was to make his loan deal permanent.
However, that opportunity now looks to be in jeopardy with Bayern Munich deciding to strangely pull the plug on his permanent deal which could have damaging repercussions in the short-term for Rangers this month.
While £1.4m may not be much for Rangers in the grand scheme of their recruitment business this month, putting that into the transfer kitty for the January transfer window could certainly have made all the difference for Clement.

The Gers are set for a busy transfer window this month with as many as two or three more faces could be following Fabio Silva through the Ibrox doors but the club need a healthy kitty to seal such moves.
The Belgian has spoken extensively about the need to improve the squad and add quality after the summer transfer window under Michael Beale meant he inherited an unbalanced team – something the new boss urgently wants to address this month.
The former Gers boss spent a whole lot of money last summer on deals which has certainly proven rather costly, especially the decision to sign Sam Lammers and even Jose Cifuentes who have both struggled to make the swift impact that was anticipated upon their respective transfers to Ibrox.

Clement is somewhat being made to pay for those decisions, not only possessing an unbalanced squad but with less financial prowess than he may well have possessed if not for those respective wastes.
Clement and transfer chief Nils Koppen would need all the resources they can muster to ensure they are able to get deals over the line and a £1.4million windfall from the Tillman transfer to PSV may well have helped massively.
Now, Bayern Munich plan to scupper that opportunity with a recall decision that will prove costly for the Gers.

Whatever reasons the German giants will want to pull the plug on Tillman’s permanent move when he seems to be thriving at PSV so far this season, the Gers will want swift answers. Bennett and Koppen won’t be happy at all.
