Rangers: Philippe Clement may have made first transfer exit decision already as Ridvan Yilmaz update emerges at Ibrox
Philippe Clement looks to have already made his first exit decision as Rangers manager with Ridvan Yilmaz now desperately close to ending his career at Ibrox.
According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, sharing on Saturday 6 January, Yilmaz is set to seal a January exit from Ibrox across the winter break in the Scottish Premiership.
Di Marzio reported that Serie A outfit Hellas Verona are set to land the Turkish international, as they look to avoid relegation from the Serie A.

It is believed that there are no details over the proposed move, with a loan or a permanent transfer still on the table, as Clement gets ready to sanction his first exit as Rangers manager.
Clement has made it no secret that he is looking for a new left-back, and this move from Verona may open the door to Josh Doig seal a move to Ibrox once again. However, he isn’t the only target.
Daily Record, reporting on 28 December shared that the Gers are already actively pursuing a left-back for transfer number two ahead of the window after sealing Fabio Silva’s loan move, and have scouted PSV Eindhoven defender Fredrik Oppegard.
It seems as though Clement and new transfer chief Nils Koppen are searching for a more youthful look at left-back which spells the end of Yilmaz as a Rangers player.

Yilmaz joined from Besiktas last summer in a deal worth around £3.5m, but due to his struggles with injuries in his debut campaign, he largely found himself behind Borna Barisic in the pecking order.
The Turkish international has proved an inconsistent outlet at left-back throughout his time at Ibrox, showing his quality in certain moments but flattering to deceive in others and it seems Clement is making the brutal decision to cut ties with him already.

It’s unlikely that Rangers are going to be too keen to offload Yilmaz unless they receive a reasonable fee to allow him to make a move but given the club’s desperation to sign a new left-back, this brand-new first-team exit may be sealed within a matter of days.
In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement wants to sign this African forward at Ibrox.
