Spotted: Rangers player in Portugal tonight after recent Ibrox development
New Rangers recruit Fabio Silva was spotted back in Portugal on Friday night (5 January) attending the Boavista versus Porto clash.
Silva arrived on loan at Ibrox from English Premier League side Wolves on December 28, with the move being made official four days later.
The Portugal Under-21s international made his debut as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock on Tuesday (2 January).
With the Gers at the start of their winter break, Silva used the downtime to return to his homeland and watch former club Porto in action.
Football24/7 posted an image of the 21-year-old in attendance at Estadio do Bessa on Twitter [5 January].
Big part to play
Rangers’ players will soon link up for their winter training camp in Spain, which will provide a chance for Philippe Clement to get his men into shape for the second half of the campaign.
Before putting his players through their paces, they have a short opportunity to rest up – or attend even more football matches, in the case of Silva.

The Gers have a game against Hertha Berlin pencilled in during their time abroad, before returning to Ibrox to face FC Copenhagen on 16 January.
After those friendlies, focus can then switch to the trip to Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup four days later and then the clash with Hibernian in the league.
Silva will undoubtedly play a big part in the second half of the Gers’ campaign and the early signs are certainly encouraging.
Let’s just hope he makes the most of this downtime because the fixtures will soon be coming thick and fast.
