Lawrence Shankland wants Ibrox transfer as Rangers ready to pay in January
Lawrence Shankland wants to move to Rangers during the January transfer window and the Gers are willing to pay a fair price, according to The Fourth Offical.
The outlet reported on its Patreon page on Thursday (4 January) that Shankland has made his desire to make the switch to Ibrox clear to Hearts already and he is unlikely to sign the new contract offered to him at Tynecastle.
Shankland is not the sort of player who will force through a move, but Rangers are willing to pay what they believe is a reasonable price for the 28-year-old, far below the £3million valuation that Hearts have placed upon him.

Hearts are aware that the Scottish international’s asking price will fall in the summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at Tynecastle, so there are negotiations to be had between the clubs if the Light Blues really want him.
Get it done
After weeks and months of speculation and pundit opinions, the door has finally been opened for Rangers to swoop in and secure the services of Shankland, now they just have to go and do it.
The 28-year-old is clearly keen on making the move to Ibrox and that should ensure that personal terms won’t be too much of a worry for Philippe Clement’s side. They just have to agree on a fee with Hearts to get this transfer up and running.

Although the reported £3million valuation is incredibly steep, it seems likely that there could be some wiggle room as Hearts are aware that Shankland’s value will drop massively in the next six months.
In the grand scheme of things, a deal this month is what is best for all parties.
Hopefully, Clement and the rest of the team behind him at Ibrox will finally act upon their interest now. The solution to their striker problem is right under their nose and wants to make the switch, they just now have to pay the price to bring him to Glasgow.
