Four Lads: Rangers contact fans amid new Ibrox development, Clement has backed proposal

Rangers have contacted the club’s season ticket holders from the Copland Front about a new singing section, according to Four Lads Had A Dream.

The official club partner tweeted on Thursday (4 January) that 91 per cent of participants in a recent fan survey supported the move to make section CF3 and CF4 into a 600-strong singing area, which has had the “overwhelming backing” from Gers boss Philippe Clement and the players, who believe the atmosphere generated “helps them greatly”.

It added that those fans affected will be offered a move to the new Cantilever and their prices will be frozen for a year, with the Light Blues set to announce the news officially to all the club’s supporters soon.

Improved atmosphere

The vast majority of the Rangers fans will more than likely be behind this development as improving the atmosphere inside Ibrox is a positive step.

The fact that Clement and his players have also highlighted how important the fans’ voices are is also likely to get those potentially on the fence to back the move.

Singing sections are becoming more and more popular across Europe as the noise generated can make a big difference to not just the atmosphere but also how teams play.

The club are clearly looking to provide a fair solution for those supporters who will be affected, too, with their season ticket prices to be frozen for a year if they make the switch to the new Cantilever.

It seems likely that the development will happen before long and Clement will be hoping it can spur his players on to pick up more trophies in the future.
