Rangers official speaks out after meeting with SFA today, deep concern at Ibrox
A Rangers official has spoken out after a meeting with the SFA on Wednesday after what happened v Celtic and that’s led to deep concerns at Ibrox.
It was confirmed that there was no mention of any offside decision in the game last week.
This had seen the hierarchy concerned as it was a haphazard decision made by the officials.
Via Twitter, Heart and Hand shared what the spokesperson said: “From the meeting, there was an overriding consensus the VAR decision of no handball was incorrect.
“Having listened to the audio, there is no mention of a potential offside at the time of the handball decision. Rangers is also deeply concerned at the haste at which the erroneous no handball call was made.
“Rangers has appealed to the Scottish FA to release the audio and explain this decision, and future contentious decisions involving all clubs, to the public, as would be common practice in England for such a decision.’’
Crazy
The situation surrounding the incident in the Rangers vs Celtic clash is undeniably absurd and the frustration expressed by Gers and their fans is warranted.
The apparent mishandling of the VAR decision, with a later acknowledgement of its incorrectness, raises serious concerns about the efficiency and reliability of officiating in Scottish football.
The lack of clarity on the potential offside, combined with the hasty nature of the decision-making process, only adds to the frustration.

Rangers’ call for the release of VAR audio is reasonable, as transparency is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the game.
The officials involved must be held accountable for their errors and reprimands may be necessary to ensure such incidents don’t undermine the trust in the refereeing system.
Fans, having witnessed a pivotal decision go against their team, have every right to be furious, as the incident not only impacts the specific match but also raises broader concerns about the consistency and competence of officiating in Scottish football.
In other Rangers news, a sensation at a big-name Premier League club is the perfect long-term defensive option for Gers and a January transfer must be on the cards.
