Alan Brazil reacts live on talkSPORT to what Rangers fan said amid Old Firm controversy, ‘Stop your garbage’
Alan Brazil has reacted to what a Rangers fan said about Celtic ace Matt O’Riley being down with a bloody nose during the game between the two sides on Saturday (30 December).
Speaking on talkSPORT on Wednesday (3 January, 06:33am), the host revealed that Gers fan Lee got in touch with the show to suggest the Hoops midfielder was wasting time in his side’s 2-1 victory at Parkhead.
Responding to those claims, Brazil pointed out how former Gers defender Terry Butcher almost died from his nose bleeding during a game, while also adding that the Ibrox club were right to not be awarded a penalty in the first half when asked about the controversial handball incident involving Alistair Johnston.

The fan’s message into talkSPORT read: “What about the Celtic player Brazil, sat on his backside for 10 minutes with a bloody nose. Stop your garbage. What about the handball lark?”
“Away you go, you tube,” responded Brazil.
“Was it not handball?” asked pundit Gabby Agbonlahor.
“No,” replied Brazil. “Let me tell you this Lee. This happened to Terry Butcher, one of your greats once against Luton in the cup. Terry nearly died when they couldn’t stop the blood from his nose, so stick that up your derrière.”
Cautious
It wasn’t much of a surprise to see the medical staff take their time to try and solve O’Riley’s issue after he was unintentionally caught with an arm.
Although there were some suggestions it could have been a ploy to waste time by Celtic, it looked as though the midfielder could have broken his nose and they’re always going to take it seriously.
As for the handball incident, the controversy around that still continues to rumble on as it’s unclear exactly how the officials reached the decision to not award a penalty.

While the fact Abdallah Sima was offside would have meant it would never have been a spot kick in the first place, it’s important that everyone is made aware of what was said between the officials as the offside wasn’t initially shown on the live TV broadcast.
It’s unlikely the conversation is going to go away any time soon about the incident as the Gers are adamant that they want answers from the SFA about what happened.
In other Rangers news, one player is surely finished at Ibrox after a signing has already been confirmed.
