Rangers transfer news as talks begin to sign Josh Doig in January
Rangers are said to be in talks with Hellas Verona over a deal to bring left-back Josh Doig back to Scotland in January, according to Toro Goal.
The Italian media outlet with over 25,000 followers on Instagram followed Gianluca Di Marzio to add that the Ibrox giants were also in the mix alongside Leeds.
It is said that any deal would cost up to £5.2million with Italian intermediaries working to get the defender a move in the next 31 days, with fresh talks starting with Torino.
Reporting the news on X, Toro Goal also share that Monza are another club interested in the former Hibernian flyer, with a move looking certain this month.
It is no secret that Philippe Clement is looking for a new left-back with Ibrox with Borna Barisic nearing the end of his contract and Ridvan Yilmaz failing to impress.

Needed.
With James Tavernier continuing to fly down one side, it has only made the issues on the opposite flank look even larger as we try to push forward at Ibrox.
Barisic was the answer for some years, but it looks as though his time has officially passed with his contract done soon, and Yilmaz has not convinced anyone he can fill that hole.
Doig could be a very interesting signing, the young Scotsman obviously knows the league inside and out, and he has picked up valuable experience during his time in Italy.
It obviously hasn’t gone as well as Lewis Ferguson at Bologna but the chance to move to a huge club like Rangers and push them into a new era of success has to be tempting.
With the likes of Leeds and some other Italian clubs circling though, it would not be a straightforward move to get over the line for Nils Koppen and his team.
This is one to watch with the window only hours old in Glasgow.
In other Rangers news, one senior player may well have started his last game at Ibrox after what he did against Celtic.
