Rangers ready £2.5m bid to seal Million Manhoef transfer in January
Rangers are readying a £2.5million bid to seal yet another transfer for Vitesse Arnhem star Million Manhoef, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported on its website on Friday (29 December) that the Light Blues are leading the race for the highly rated 21-year-old winger who they have tracked for the last 12 months.
Both Leicester City and Preston North End are interested in the young Dutch star, but the Gers are the favourites to seal his signature and the deal has been endorsed by Rangers’ director of football Nils Koppen.

Manhoef has 18 months left on his contract with Vitesse and therefore the Dutch side would be willing to listen to reasonable offers, with Rangers prepared to splash £2.5million to secure his services when the window opens.
Get it done
Since Philippe Clement arrived in Glasgow, the Belgian has been keen to play a system with wingers, but the lack of options available at Ibrox has forced the Gers boss to field the likes of Sam Lammers and Todd Cantwell out of position.
While Rabbi Matondo, Ross McCausland and Scott Wright are now fully fit and available, Rangers could do with a couple of extra wide options in their ranks and Manhoef would be the perfect solution to that problem this January.

The 21-year-old doesn’t have too much experience but he fits the Light Blues’ player trading model and has the potential to get even better if he makes the switch to Ibrox. For £2.5 million, it’s a gamble that is worth taking as they look to secure the Scottish Premiership title.
Rangers have been keen to get early business done this January, with Fabio Silva already in through the door before the month has even begun. They have the opportunity to do the same again with a move for Manhoef and they can’t let it pass them by.
Despite suggestions otherwise from those in charge at Ibrox, it looks as though this could be a busy month for Clement and Rangers.
In other Rangers news, Graham Dorrans has admitted he isn’t a “massive fan” of the Gers decision to sign Fabio Silva from Wolves
