Rangers: Fabio Silva has already visited Ibrox with Wolves transfer about to be announced – Four Lads

Fabio Silva has already been to Glasgow and visited the Rangers grounds ahead of joining the club on loan in the January transfer window, according to Four Lads.

The Portuguese striker has agreed to join the Ibrox club after holding talks with Philippe Clement, with Rangers beating Celtic to his signature.

The player is due to sign his contract to make the transfer official on Thursday afternoon, and the club’s official partner revealed on their personal Twitter account (28 December) that he has already been to the club to visit and it should be confirmed soon.

“Silva has already been here and visited, clearly sold on what we are trying to do and should be confirmed soon,” they wrote.

“Not sure what he is like beyond the hype of him originally, am I guilty (like the summer) of trusting the manager and seeing what he is like? Probably.

“Welcome!”

Excellent

A new striker was undoubtedly needed during the January transfer window with the injury issues of Kemar Roofe and Danilo, as well as the poor form of Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers.

Silva moved to Wolves in a startling £35m deal years ago but struggled to make it there, but his loan transfers in between have been largely successful.

Clement Rangers

Clement would no doubt have seen him shine at Anderlecht in the first half of last season where he hit 11 goals, and will trust that he is capable of providing that killer touch in front of goal that we have been lacking.

With no buy option in the deal it’s clear that this is just a stop-gap for the club and also for him, but it could be the difference between winning the league title and not.

It’s great to get business done early, especially when it’s someone the manager really wants and is keen on, and it’s even better when it stops Celtic strengthening at the same time too.
