Rangers: Fabio Silva agrees Old Firm transfer as Wolves striker finalises terms in Glasgow
Fabio Silva has agreed terms on a loan move to either Rangers or Celtic in the January transfer window, according to Luca Bendoni.
The Italian journalist, who works on the staff of the renowned Gianluca Di Marzio, tweeted on Thursday (28 December) that the loan move for the Wolves forward will be until the end of the season.
He added that the deal will involve the Premier League side securing a small loan fee and the Scottish club in question, which he has been told is either the Gers or the Hoops, will cover the 21-year-old Portuguese’s salary.
Tense
It will be a tense wait for the Rangers fans to learn whether or not it is their club that have secured a January deal to bring in Silva.
Both of the Old Firm sides are keen to strengthen their forward options in the transfer window as they look to battle it out for domestic honours this season.
Philippe Clement has managed to get a tune out of summer signing Cyriel Dessers, but with concerns around the fitness of some of his other attackers, he knows he needs some more depth up top.

The Portuguese has struggled for minutes with the Premier League side this season, having made just eight appearances in the league and failed to find the back of the net.
But he will be hungry to prove his worth once again after taking on loan spells in Europe at both Anderlecht and PSV last season.
In other Rangers news, a journalist has tipped one player to be a “surprise” star under Clement at Ibrox.
