Permanent Fabio Silva deal on the cards if Rangers loan proves successful
Rangers loanee Fabio Silva could make a permanent move away from Wolves in the summer if his spell at Ibrox is a success, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reported on 28 December that the Portuguese striker is contracted to Wolves until 2026, but his struggles since arriving at the club mean he is unlikely to have a long-term future at Molineux.
A successful loan deal with Rangers would allow Wolves to limit the losses on his potential future transfer by driving up his market value which has dropped heavily from the £35million the English side spent to bring him in [BBC].

Rangers could explore the possibility
If his spell at Ibrox is a success, Rangers should be at the front of the queue to bring Silva in on a permanent basis, with Wolves seemingly happy to see him leave as things stand.
However, given the £35million fee Wolves spent to bring Silva to the Midlands, it would likely take a fee upwards of near that to make a permanent deal happen as the club look to recoup as much of their outgoing fee as possible to save face.
This would limit Gers’ ability to get that deal done, although a £10million-plus spend is not completely out of the realm of expectation, particularly if they can qualify for Champions League football which would see their income spike through the reward money.

If Philippe Clement can get a tune out of the striker, which you would expect given he made him the number-one target for the January transfer window, Rangers should do all they can to extend his stay in Glasgow beyond the end of his loan deal.
